The RIPE NCC is an independent, not-for-profit membership organisation that supports the infrastructure of the Internet. The most prominent activity of the RIPE NCC is to act as a Regional Internet Registry (RIR) providing Internet number resources and related services to a current membership base of around 9,200 members in over 75 countries. These members consist mainly of Internet Service Providers (ISPs), telecommunication organisations and large corporations located in Europe, the Middle East and parts of Central Asia.The RIPE NCC also provides a range of technical and coordination services and supports the global Internet community by providing data, expertise and a neutral platform for the exchange of ideas.

The Ukrainian Internet Association (UIA) was founded in November 2000 with the aim of consolidating the efforts of all interested parties in developing the Internet in Ukraine.Objects of activity of the UIA are the organisation and coordination of participants of the Internet services market in Ukraine, assistance in resolving disputes between participants of the Internet services market, development of recommendations regarding principles of distribution and control of domain addresses space in the .UA zone and interaction with foreign and international organizations regarding the development of the Ukrainian segment of the global Internet network.

As of May 2013, the UIA includes 145 companies, among which are the largest Ukrainian Internet service providers, registrars of domain names, content providers, electronic and traditional mass media, equipment suppliers and public organisations.

The significant influence, which the UIA renders today on the development of the Internet in Ukraine, is based on the unification of expert analytical, intellectual, organisational and technical potential, and on many years of practical experience.

Ukrainian Internet Exchange Network (UA-IX) – a daughter company of the Ukrainian Internet Association – was established in 2000. Initiators of the UA-IX are the companies, which work on the Internet market. The UA-IX gives the possibility to its participants to minimize their expenses and to expand their business possibilities. UA-IX is the pledge of stability of Internet market of Ukraine; it has two points of traffic exchange. Now UA-IX numbers more than 130 participants with common traffic volume 260 Gbit/s.

MSK-IX is a neutral organization operating Internet Exchanges and providing peering services to Internet businesses in the capital of Russia and in 8 major Russian cities. More than 500 ISPs and Internet-related companies use our services to enhance their routing efficiency and to save on transit costs. In Moscow, the distributed switching infrastructure of MSK-IX interconnects 11 telecom facilities in the city.
